Whether it’s in Cairns, the Whitsundays or in Darwin, Perth or even South Australia, many Dive Companies are often looking for new Instructors to join their team. What could be better than spending your days teaching others how to Scuba Dive and get paid for it? If you have travelled to Australia and have experience as a Scuba Dive Instructor or have just done plenty of Scuba Diving, then this could be the perfect job as you travel around Australia’s famous coastlines.
- Spend your days on the ocean aboard luxury dive boats, cruising around some of the most beautiful parts of Australia.
- Combine everything that you came to do in Australia: travel, earn money, and meet people and scuba dive!
- After spending a fun day in the ocean diving, you get to party at night on land with each group. A great way to meet new people!
Previous work experience required:
To work as a Dive Instructor you will need a PADI Instructor certificate or to work as Dive Staff will need your PADI Open Water Dive certificate. At least 12 months experience diving or instructing is highly favourable.
To work as a Dive Instructor as part of a Dive Staff Crew is more about the lifestyle, so don’t expect to make your millions with this job. But you will get paid a decent wage while spending your days doing something you love and seeing the best parts of Australia.
The word on the street:
“I worked for two months as a Dive Instructor for a dive company on the Great Barrier Reef. It was the best time of my life. I got to live like a local in Cairns and spend my days with other travelers, teaching them to dive in one of the best places in the world. The partying in Cairns was pretty good too.” Sam, UK.
