Every traveller in Australia needs a fixed mailing address. Its essential to set up your Tax File Number, bank account and Medicare (if eligible) and a great way for family to send you letters and parcels.
Travellers Contact Point’s Mail Holding Service provides a fixed mailing address for your entire stay in Australia. For only $75 for 12-months, we will hold your mail for you to collect or scan it to a secure online account. This way you can access your mail anywhere and anytime. Easy!
How it works:
- Sign-up online or at Travellers Contact Point, Sydney (1 account per person only)
- Give your TCP number and address to friends, relatives, bank, tax office, employer, superannuation company etc.
- When mail arrives at TCP Sydney we will advise you by email. Your letters will be scanned and a notification will be sent to you by email. Your mail will be uploaded to an online account which you can access at any time. If you receive a parcel or unscannable item we will email you with a description of the item. Your item will then be stored safely for you to collect or we can forward it to any address across Australia (standard postage fees apply).

The TCP Mail service is available to backpackers / travellers only, for the purpose of managing personal mail items whilst temporarily in Australia.
- This service is for individual use only. (1 account per person only). Mail for other persons (i.e friends / partners / spouses) will be automatically returned to sender
- This service cannot be used to receive internationally redirected mail
- This service is not available to Australian residents
- This service cannot be used for business / commercial purposes
- TCP reserves the right to open mail that appears to be fraudulent or dangerous.
Mail accounts which violate these terms will be cancelled. Refunds will not be offered.
