Heading out of Sydney, we pass by Sydney Olympic Park and climb the Blue Mountains. We take a 2 to 3 hour walk at Wentworth Falls with amazing lookout points along the way. You’ll walk through landscapes changing from cliff top heath vegetation, to ferny gullies with hanging swamps and rock ledges - all showcasing the dramatic Blue Mountains.
After lunch, we walk down the historic Furber Stairs (all 860 of them!) into Jamison Valley through lush World Heritage rainforest, past the beautiful Katoomba Falls.
The Blue Mountains are famous for the iconic rock formations of the ‘Three Sisters’, which we’ll see of course. From the bottom of the Jamison Valley, we jump aboard the Scenic Railway – the world’s steepest railway (you’ll find out why!) – and take a ride back up to the valley rim. You’ll be able to relax as we cruise back into Sydney after an action packed day!
Bring: Sturdy walking shoes, hat and sunscreen, water bottle, camera.
