To work as a Traffic Controller in NSW it is a Roads & Traffic Authority (RTA) requirement that everyone holds a current Traffic Controllers Photo Licence. This one day course is a simple and effective method of training staff that are required to use a STOP / SLOW bat. The course meets the work activity requirements of the NSW Occupational Health & Safety Legislation and RTA obligations.

Participants must
- Have adequate literacy skills
- Have or have held a driver's licence (minimum Provisional 2 - Green P)
- Hold a valid General Induction for Construction Work (White) Card or certificate. Participants who complete the Traffic Controller's course without a valid General Induction for Construction Work Card will be issued with a Traffic Controller Non-Construction Licence (Grey Card). This is a restricted licence

- Understand the role of a Traffic Controller
- Apply the procedures of traffic controlling on a worksite
- Operate a Two-Way Radio correctly

| Outcome: |
|
On successful completion, participants receive a Statement of Completion in "OHS Work Activity Training for Traffic Controller". An RTA Traffic Control Stop/Slow Bat (Blue) card will also be issued. |

Traffic Controller's cards may be collected from our Parramatta or Sydney City offices. Students will be notified by phone when the cards are received from the RTA.
Cards must be collected within 3 months from the date of training. Any cards not collected within this period will be returned to the RTA and reissuance will be at the participants cost.
Alternatively the cards may be posted to your residential address at a charge of $15.00 (registered post, person to person) which is payable on the day of training.
